Arriving in Galicia
When I arrived at this small cafe in La Laguna they were playing some Galician music. La Laguna is a very small hamlet just before crossing into Galicia. The feeling was very different after so long in Castile and Leon. The music added to the change in atmosphere. A new sense of a new place.
Bagpipes in Santiago de Compostela
There were several Galician bagpipe buskers playing in Santiago de Compostela. I saw this player a few times. He was often found busking under an archway near the Cathedral. The arch gave the music a distant haunting sound and was probably one of the best places acoustically to show off the musical style.
